Research objectives
To study the prevalence of PAD in diabetes patients
To study the Registry: cardiovascular morbidity/mortality of PAD patients with diabetes in the study period of 3 years
To study the risk factors of having cardiovascular morbidity/mortality in PAD patients with diabetes.
To study the actual practice treatment for its appropriate of treatment and patients transferring.

Study design
A recent study from the medicine faculty, Chiang Mai University found that diabetes patients with PAD had a high chance to die of heart disease or paralysis. The percentage was found to be 56.6 in 3 years. So, this study was to study the risk factors related to the occurrence of strokes such as heart diseases or paralysis in a cohort of 500 PAD patients. The results of this study will be the baseline data for developing the strategies to prolong life and reduce the risk of disability in the risk groups. The study was supported by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and the Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI)
