Phase II: May 2014-February 2016
Research rationale:
Phase II of the study aimed to develop nutrition-sensitive agriculture practices that improve the nutrition and food security of children under five in Karen and Lawa hill-tribe villages in Ban thup and Pang Hin Fon sub-district, Mae Chaem district, Chiang Mai.
In phase I, households of Karen tribe and Lawa tribe were surveyed for their situations on nutrition, food security, dietary diversity, and child-feeding practices. Potential interventions will be formed based on the first year data in order to be tested in the second year of the project.
