During 23-24 February 2018, Research Institute for Health Sciences held a seminar to increase CAB’s potentials at Sra Prathum meeting room, Suan Bua Resort, Chiang Mai to review working process, exchange knowledge and understanding on the study researches to work more effectively, as well as plan on future collaboration between researchers and CAB members.
Prof. Khuanchai Supparatpinyo, M.D., was invited to open the seminar and provide a speech on direction of RIHES research study on HIV prevention and treatment. Mr. Niwat Suwanpatthana also provided knowledge on challenges of research team and expectation towards CAB members, as well as reviewed CAB’s roles. Dr. Nuntisa Chotirosniramit, M.D. also provided a presentation on RIHES research study teams, including knowledge and ethics in conducting HIV/AIDS research studies. Besides, there was a discussion on health care options in the phubbing society by Ms. Siwalee Kasemsilp. The discussion on community participation in HIV research studies by speakers from 3 generation as Dr. Chawalit Nartprathan, M.D., Ms. Rattana Chaifongsri and Mr. Nopparuj Muenkaew was also provided. The attendees had a chance to discuss roles and expectation, including future coordinating pattern.
