On 16 March 2018, Research Institute for Health Sciences held the academic conference on “Progress in prevention and treatment – stigmatization and discrimination towards HIV patients” at The Empress Hotel with lectures, discussion and reports on progress of RIHES research conducting with HIV patients. The activities included, lectures on “Advances in HIV treatment and care” by Prof. Khuanchai Supparatpinyo, M.D., RIHES director and on “HIV infection prevention guideline” by Emeritus professor Suwat Chariyalertsak, M.D.; a discussion on stigmatization and discrimination towards HIV patients; and a report on advances in treatment and care of HIV infected children and pregnant women as well as current RIHES study researches. There were also activities on HIV/AIDs knowledge provided via games for attendees to join.
