Research Institute for Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Center for Alcohol Studies Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University hosted an International Symposium “The 44th Annual Alcohol Epidemiology Symposium of the Kettiil Bruun Society” in Chiangmai, Thailand” during 28 May – 1 June 2018, aiming to exchange academic knowledge on alcohol at the international level. There are 66 countries worldwide joining this meeting. Prof. Udomsil Srisangnam, M.D. an advisor to Thai Health, Planning Committee panel 1 and former Deputy Minister of Public Health provided a welcome speech and objectives of the meeting. Professor Savitri Savannakornchai, M.D., Director of Center for Alcohol Studies then provided the report, followed by Prof. Khuanchai Supparatpinyo, M.D., Director of Research Institute for Health Sciences’s welcome speech and Chiang Mai introduction.
