On 26 March 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kriangkrai Srithanaviboonchai, Director of the Research Institute for Health Sciences, Chiang Mai University, along with Dr. Sawaeng Kawichai and Dr. Kawinwut Somsunan, RIHES researchers, welcomed Prof. Dr. Shinji Tokonami and a team of researchers from Hirosaki University, Hiroshima University, and Nagasaki University, Japan.

The team discusses air pollution studies in Chiang Mai at RIHES CMU-Campus Building, and visits the Toxicology Laboratory at the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Research Unit to observe laboratory practices. This visit marks an important step in research collaboration to enhance understanding and develop solutions to air pollution problems in the future.
