During 2-4 December 2017, NCD Research Unit, Center for Applied Heath Science Research, Research Institute for Health Sciences, led by Prof. Kittipan Rerkasem, MD, PhD, Head of the Center, provided mobile services at hospitals in Payao and Chiang Rai for free vascular access and Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) testing for patients with chronic renal failure who used to be treated at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai hospital. This activity was held for the 2nd time in 2017 with 71 patients. There were patients with abnormal vascular access; some had peripheral artery disease with high risk for chronic wound, infection and amputation respectively. The team provided testing and useful counseling for their daily life practice.
